MTX-M2M and Matrix Electrónica have become leading-edge companies in the creation of M2M devices orientated towards the world of Internet of Things (IoT). Thanks to their advanced technology and extensive experience in creating industrial products such as modems and MTX routers, both companies offer solutions for all types of remote problems: fleet management, metering, mesh networks, vending, telemetry, etc.

Can you imagine being able to remote control any machine, regardless of its size or complexity and without the need for complex installations? MTX-M2M devices are robust (they are capable of working in extreme temperatures), functional (they offer remote solutions for all types of devices) and have an unlimited life-span (battery consumption is minimal thanks to its automatic power control system).

Internet of Things is a world in which machines, animals, people or things can be connected to the global Internet via a system of unique identification codes associated with it. A UID (Unique Identifier) is a series of numerical or alphanumerical digits that corresponds to one specific thing. The data corresponding to this thing, both that which identifies it and that produced from standard operations, can be stored in a system, be that in the local servers or in the cloud. In this way, we can access the data relating to the thing and do things with this data (process it, make decisions, send commands, resent it to other systems to assist with other decisions, etc.).

Thanks to MTX-M2M technology, there exists the possibility of transferring data generated by machines, people or things that have a UID, without the need for person-person or person-computer communications. This situation can be defined as Internet of Things using the aforementioned definition.

In particular, the idea is that both people and objects can connect to the Internet at any time in any place. In order to carry out this “anything with anything” connection, all MTX-M2M devices – modems, gateways, routers, software – contain elements which are the most advanced and easiest to integrate in complex systems that can be found in the current market.

IoT is not only the interconnection of objects via Internet yet a new concept – Internet of Everything (IoE). Thanks to 2G/3G/4G technologies, Wi-Fi, Ethernet etc. and using MTX-Tunnel software or Linux/Java, new ways to control any machine can be implemented quickly and easily.

Internet of Things is integrated in our daily lives as a highly valuable concept.
